Can I hear a WU-HOO? A good cheer makes you happy and gets your creative juices flowing!  Cube ottomans are not only easy to move and easy to store, they are also the perfect accessory to any room.  I started with a factory pair of cubes 18″x 18″ x 18.”  You see them everywhere from Pottery Barn and Target to Restoration Hardware. For this do-over I wanted to create a sophisticate, elite cube that can’t be found just anywhere. One little  cheer gave me the idea.

I have been chomping at the bit to use the new appliqués featured in the new Mary McDonald for Schumacher Collection. McDonald’s talents are shared as a stand out interior designer with this collection showcasing her unique often Asian influenced, soft and crisp design style.  The “Madame Wu” applique in Bleu Marine, from the collection, is 8″x 8″ and makes the perfect center statement for the cubes. In the http://www.tigerlilysgreenwich.com custom upholstery workroom we sewed the applique to a yummy neutral linen.

Definitely a WU-HOO moment with an added fist-pump! I was thrilled to see how beautifully this pair of cube ottomans turned out. I always like to close with a quote. I work hard at what I do both on the creative end and on the business growth plan end. It is important to me that the legacy of custom furniture and our family run business strives and lasts. In the spirit of challenge and obstacles along the way, I share this quote by Hellen Keller. Against debilitating challenges she was steadfast and teaches us all to approach life with good cheer.
