BEFORE & AFTER: A BIT OF BLUE

BEFORE & AFTER: A BIT OF BLUE

We started with a neutral toned chair in a neutral room. The biggest problem with neutrals. They show dirt.  We brought the chair to our custom upholstery workroom Tiger Lily’s Greenwich (www.tigerlilygreenwich.com).

We wanted to add a pop of color to the room without loosing the neutral feel. To achieve this I went with a washed -brushed cotton from Kirby Fabrics. It has a yummy “sit & stay” awhile feel. Once we established the color, we moved forward with a special custom touch. That’s the beauty of an upholstery workroom, folks you get exactly what you want.

Schumacher makes this wonderful cotton-linen blend called, Greek Key Embroidery. It retails for $234.00 a yard. We cut-up two yards, railroaded the fabric and created a bold tape border.

The end result was exactly the pop this living room needed. Its the small stuff that matters!
