BEFORE & AFTER: END-TABLES
Call it the carry over. These end tables have had many past lives starting in the homeowner’s first post-college apartment. We wanted to do something a little more special for her night stands at a low cost. Our solution was to upholster. We brought these nightstands into our upholstery workroom, http://www.tigerlilysgreenwich.com.
Each night-stand took two-yards of fabric. We ordered a contemporary vinyl with a little glam-shine. With spills, markers and makeup down the road, the vinyl is perfect because it is easy to clean.
We cut two wooden discs the size of the table top and attached them to the table. The cylinder was finished with high-density cardboard, upholstered and finished with decorative welting on the top and the base.
